See the new pattern?

See, I told you so.

It may take me a while to get going, but once I do, look out. I'm a veritable house afire. Says the girl that was just napping about an hour ago. But, even in my slothness, I have a couple of new retailers selling the patterns as well. Atkinson Farms Yarn in Vincennes, IN and Red Bird Knits, a website out of Canada.  I've gone international!

Other than getting the pattern put to rights, I have finally been working on the shawl for myself. I'm using some very nice hand-dyed rayon from Interlacements. I started it last Sunday, and I might finish it tonight. Man, patterns go really quick when you're the one that designed them.

I haven't spun anything lately. Tomorrow is my family's get together for my birthday. I'll be cooking my own birthday dinner, because my momma is having gall bladder trouble. She was supposed to have surgery this past Thursday, but somehow she didn't get taken off one of her meds, and her pulse was too slow (40 bpm). Honestly, if you get sick, just walk 50 yards into the woods, rip some bark off the nearest tree, chew on it, then bring it home and boil it up for tea. It couldn't do you any worse, and probably about as much good as our current health care. So, if you're inclined, think good thoughts for my momma.
